Hello Super Summer – New tutorial on AREA 1
As I’ve promissed a few days ago, New tutorial incoming on AREA 1, here’s the newest tutorial on AREA 1: HELLO SUPER SUMMER! Here’s a preview of what will we create in this tutorial:
*click on the image to see it in a bigger size What you’ll need: Happy Lovers Town Font Bubble Brushes Star Brushes Retro Brushes Tree Brushes First, open your Adobe Photoshop and start a new project. I’ve used 800×600 size. Let’s take care of the background. ![]() Right click on the Background layer and go to Blending Options > Gradient Overlay.
This part is ready, now let’s step further. You’ll need to draw 2 hills with the help of the Pen Tool. After you’ve drawn 2 hills on 2 different layers you’ll need to modify their colors using the Gradient Overlay. The hill behind: ![]()
The hill in front: ![]()
![]() Now, using the Tree Brushes I’ve linked to, draw a tree with the color: #948861. You could also draw some grass at the base of the tree. ![]() Now, select another tree brush, make it smaller and draw another tree. ![]() Choose the Ellipse Tool ![]() Take 2 birds from this Twitter vector icon set and place them above the circles, like I did. ![]() It’s time to add a little love between those 2 birds. Choose the Custom Shape Tool Now, again using the Custom Shape Tool, draw a chat icon and write, using Happy Lovers Town Font, HELLO SUPER SUMMER! ![]() Using Star Brushes, Retro Brushes and Bubble Brushes or any other brush you’d like, draw more elements using different colors. ![]() It’s time for the final part of the tutorial. With the help of any splatter brush, draw a splash like I did in the image above. ![]() Using the Happy Lovers Town Font, write HELLO SUPER SUMMER, each word on a different layer. HELLO word:
SUPER word:
SUMMER word:
![]() Using the same font as above, write ,again, HELLO SUPER SUMMER, but this time write all the text on the same layer. After this, right click on it and choose Rasterize Type. ![]() Then go to Image > Transform > Perspective and drag down the bottom-right corner. ![]() Now press CTRL + ALT + LEFT ARROW a few times to duplicate the layer. ![]() Now you’ll have only 2 layers. Select the one above and add a Gradient Overlay with the following settings:
Now, select the bottom layer and, again, add a Gradient Overlay with the following settings:
